Purpose of Position:

Three Project Management Professionals required to staff the Project Management Office of a major Memphis organization. The position is responsible for providing leadership in the planning, management and delivery of business systems solutions and associated application technical support services. The PMPs will be responsible for working closely with the business analysts and Information Systems team members to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives. Responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to specifications, as well as vendor relationship management.

 Position Description:

 1. Identifies customer needs; develops project scope, timeline and project budget.

2.  Manages multiple, simultaneous projects for systems or changes to existing systems. This includes working with business analysts to document business processes and requirements.

3. Provides leadership and direction to the project team staff.

4.  Uses facilitation, change management and conflict resolution skills to resolve project and team issues.

5.  Uses standard industry project management tools, understanding the entire Project Management Lifecycle.

6. Oversees the development of relevant project proposals and budgets, and recommends approval of them before submission from the business analyst.

7. Ensures completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines; tracks milestones and timelines across projects and institutes necessary work flow, personnel and financial resource allocations, making alterations when necessary to meet expectations of clients; analyzes and resolves issues that have the potential to jeopardize performance and/or ability to meet agreed upon deliverables; analyzes financial and operational reports.

8. Proactively identifies changes in work scope and ensures appropriate planning measures are taken with internal clients to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts and budgets. 

Requirement: PMP Certification Required. 

Job Type:  9 – 12 month contract; possible hire.
